COMPANY PROFILE NAVISPEC MARINE SERVICES L.L.C. DUBAI was created in December 2003 by Mr. Chérif Aitcheikh, Senior Surveyor and Operations Manager of Bureau Veritas Dubai from 06/1997 till 09/2003. NAVISPEC MARINE SERVICES L.L.C . DOHA Branch has been created in October 2005 for the Qatari market. NAVISPEC MARINE SERVICES L.L.C . PARIS Branch has been created in October 2005 for the French and European market . Our mission is to provide consulting, engineering and technical assistance to our clients in the maritime and offshore sectors. The company operates on the basis of using experienced specialists totally committed to timely response, quality orientated approach. We deliver economic value to our clients by improving the performance of their assets, projects, systems and products. Our Main Activities are as follows: SHIP MANAGEMENT: Crew and Technical Ship Management: Providing ship management services in respect of vessels as agents for and on behalf of the Owners with full authority to take any action as may be necessary to perform our task in accordance with sound ship management practice. Navispec Marine Services is ISM certified by Bureau Veritas THIRD PARTY SURVEYS: Inspections related to the marine industry including vessels and other marine structures and installations, their machinery and equipment, in accordance with project specifications and relevant international and national regulations and standards, such as: • Condition Surveys, On/Off Hire Surveys, Pre-Purchase Surveys, Draft surveys; • Condition surveys of non-SOLAS vessels for UAE Registration / Issuance of Navigation license • Damage Surveys, Repair Surveys, Certification of works; • Surveys on-behalf of Insurance Companies; • Towing Surveys, Cargo lashing surveys; • Witnessing of pressure testing, etc INTERNATIONAL SAFETY MANAGEMENT SUPPORT: New System Development: Development of Safety Management System tailored to fully fit client's needs, familiarization and implementation of the system in the company and on-board vessels, implementation support and follow-up of the Safety Management System (analysis and follow-up of vessels reporting, offices and vessels internal audits, planned maintenance follow-up, etc …) Existing System Upgrading: Assessment, review and upgrading of existing systems as found necessary. Implementation support and follow-up of the revised Safety Management System (analysis and follow-up of vessels reporting, offices and vessels internal audits, planned maintenance follow-up etc …) INTERNATIONAL SHIP AND PORT FACILITY SECURITY CODE SUPPORT: Development of Ship Security Plans on behalf of Company Security Officers, familiarization of crew, implementation and follow-up. NB : For cost and time effectiveness, we will design or upgrade ISM/ISPS systems so that familiarization, implementation, internal and external audits, etc … of both systems be carried out concurrently TRAINING: • ISPS Training course for Ship Security Officers and Company Security Officers; • On-board ISM and ISPS Familiarization; • ISO/ISM/ISPS Internal Auditors training course; • Statutory Training tailor suited to your company's requirement • Port State Control • MARPOL 73/78 including Air pollution, Water Ballast Management, • Bunkering Operations & Oil spills • Voyage planning, Mooring Practice, On-Board Bridge Team / Engine Room Management PLANNED MAINTENANCE SYSTEM MANAGEMENT: Preparation of PMS for ships in a manual or in a computerized format fully compatible and integrated into ISM / ISO Systems, taking into account Classification and Statutory inspections. Implementation, follow-up, review of planned maintenance system SHIP DOCUMENTATION MANAGEMENT: Verification of vessel's certificates, documents and verifying compliance with class, international conventions, mandatory codes and Flag Administration's requirements. Revision and/or Development / Preparation of documents / manuals such as: • SOPEP, SMPEP; • Garbage Management Plan; • Ballast Water management plan; • Cargo Securing manuals; • Vessel's specific Safety and Fire Training Manuals, Fire Safety Operational Booklet, SOLAS maintenance manual incorporating SE and FFE; • Fire Control and Safety Plan (AutoCAD and IMO compliant); • Preparation for CAP, CAS surveys and certification, etc. CLASSIFICATION MANAGEMENT: Management of classification and statutory documentation and surveys in the most cost-effective way, optimizing surveyor's/auditor's attendance to minimize commercial operations interruptions. Classification Management encompassing all above servicesSHIP REPAIR MANAGEMENT: Provision of services for co-ordination during vessel's scheduled and unscheduled repairs, ensuring cost effectiveness and timely delivery, including but not limited to: Inspection of vessels, drafting of repair specifications, assessment of repair quotations, supervision during repairs, co-ordination with class surveys, attendance during sea trials, assistance to owners during final negotiations with shipyard NEW BUILDING DESIGN, SUPERVISION & MANAGEMENT: New Building or major Conversion Design New Building or major Conversion supervision acting as Owner's representative, covering all stages from vessel's design review to sea trials / delivery Above encompasses the following activities: • Specification, tenders preparation, Bids appraisal • Design; • Site supervision of fabrication, construction and installation • Assessment of contractors quality control at works; • Technical acceptance; • Operating assistance |
